Harrietsham History Society is working on various projects to mark the centenary of World War 1.

  1. To clean, repair, and update the plaques on the war memorial - This work has been completed and we would like to thank the community for all their support in raising the funds to achieve this.

  1. Now that the Memorial has been renovated we are progressing to raise money to replace the gravel path with a brick path engraved with the roll of honour for both World Wars. For further details please follow the link. War Memorial Paving Project
  2. To prepare a Roll of Honour to include all the men and women with a Harrietsham connection that took part in WW1 - Further information is being uploaded to the IWM - Lives of the First World War.

If you have any additional information regarding the men and woman from Harrietsham that participated in WW1 the History Society would be pleased to hear from you. 

  1. To produce a book about the Lost Lives in Harrietsham - The Lost Lives of Harrietsham 1914 - 1918 was published in October 2015 after 18 months of research by members of our War Committee, this endeavours to tell the stories of the 31 people who lost their lives serving for King and Country in World War One. This book is available to purchase at a cost of £10.00.

  1. To produce a monthly article in the Parish Magazine "Network" detailing events 100 years ago - Monthly News Articles
